I can't add pieces to the pocket in drop variants (f.e. Shogi) as well. (Android+Mobile Chrome) But can add pieces (DnD) to the board. All in all DnD handling code...

I hope when https://github.com/gbtami/pychess-variants/issues/6 will be fixed, this issue will be solved automatically. Implementing something like https://lichess.org/forum/general-chess-discussion/streamer-lichess-layout#1 would be also nice.

Can you reproduce this with Chrome as well?

In pychess the "1/2" button is used for a) offer/accept draw b) claim draw, in case of repetition or x move draw rules. I think we need the "1/2" button...

Yeah, according to https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Sennichite 4-fold repetition is automatic draw in Shogi.

We should expose `bikjang()` https://github.com/ianfab/Fairy-Stockfish/blob/master/src/position.h#L176 in Fairy bindings to get this info.
