@topepo revdepcheck will always use the tree you point it to, no assumptions are made about branches, or SCMs.
Try setting the `R_BIOC_VERSION` env var to 3.18.
You always need to use the one that is appropriate for the current R version. Which used to be 3.17, but now it is 3.18, and Bioconductor deleted their 3.17...

That would indeed make sense. I have a feeling that this won't be easy to implement, but we should at least investigate.
There is no FreeBSD specific code in ps. The installation issue has been fixed already in this repo, but ps functions will not work on FreeBSD.
