why would you want alternatives? It runs on 10.8, there are some unanswered pull requests with fixes and some other functionality. It's real easy to build too.
The project in my case didn't build because two components: ShortcutRecorder and BGHUDAppKit were trying to build against 10.6, I just upgraded those projects and build targets to use OS...
it's because I didn't push those changes (to keep the pull request clean)
now I pushed them, try again :)
