Invalid memory access (signal 11) with libxml2 2.14

Thanks for checking, I've been able to trace the cause to `libxml2 >= 2.14.0`, downgrading `libxml2` to `2.13.8` lets `make std_spec` pass cleanly. I'll check their bugtracker next and open...
