Too difficult to connect to a calendar, there are no instructions anywhere, and there is no sort of simplified url auto-search or addition of the most common calendars

Hello,

You are right, there is no dialog to help adding account of well known providers (Nextcloud, Google Calendar, ICloud,...). This could be a good addition and may be implemented in the future. :)
