I'm not sure if globbing for that purpose is a good idea anyway. A file could reasonably have that name and not be related.

So how should we proceed with this? I think it's nice to heave, but probably not a deal breaker for most use cases. There are still a few open questions...

@amerlyq Does support for snippets solve this? To me, it sounds like it might because if a patch has licensing information inside, then every change could simply be a snipped...

Agreed. From what I understand, we could ask Git for a list of submodules (that was my first approach too), but it may not be accurate if the submodules are...

Just documenting this here as well. I think having a precedence implies there is some sort of legal precedence as well. This is a problem if a repo supplies licensing...
