I've figured out the problem with the bad icons: it's the white circle when the task bar is set to use small icons. I've attached some images of the task...

The Kraken has caught up with you! In addition, the exception comes up when you select a mod or change the filter, too. It's a real pain when you're offline...

After killing the app and reopening it, the app doesn't crash, it just gives the unhandled exception error when you try to do anything.

I've made a pull request that will update it to 1.3. Let's see if it gets merged
