Glitch when publishing messages

Open grizzi opened this issue 1 year ago • 1 comments

Bug description

We have observed that the sensor has stopped publishing odometry for ca. 10 seconds and then recovered. The driver does not show any logs. We record using the SensorQoS and we keep a subscription buffer of 1, hence we do not think this might be due to processing and buffering (when recording the bags) on our side.

Are you aware if this could happen at times and how we could debug further?

Sensor info

  • Product: Vision-RTK 2
  • Software: fp_vrtk2-release-vr2_2.85.3-354
  • ROS2 Driver: v7.0.6

Hi Giuseppe,

Thanks for bringing this to our attention. We are not aware of this being previously observed issue on the ROS Driver so we will keep an eye for that for sure.

Regarding the causes, I can think of a temporary ethernet disruption. In that case, you would observe no received messages overall and not just the missing odometry messages. Was this the case?

To debug any issues further, it is always useful to record and upload a 2 minutes fpl file, so we can look into the internal error log. The recording profile "Minimal" or the "Debug Log" is sufficient.

I guess we can close this? Please re-open if necessary.
