Character Selection Improvements

There needs to be a way to tell which players have confirmed their character selection. It's easy to get stuck on the character select screen without knowing how to proceed.

I think the controls for each player might need to be displayed somehow too, because it's not clear what buttons to press depending on which side of the keyboard you are on or if you are using a gamepad.
