Alternative action button and inventory

I am creating this issue so that we can have a discussion around adding an alternative action button. I see that the life ring item has is activated, using a shoot coroutine, but I, personally, think that it would be better to have a secondary action button, used for activating pickups, in stead of using the shoot button. Alternatively, such items could, in stead, be activated on pickup, but I think it would add another layer to the possible tactics, in-game, as well as open up for more possibilities, when it comes to creation of pickups.
