Agree! Like i've said in other issues, we're not doing any active feature development, but i would welcome a PR!
The latest release may fix this, though its possible there's more work to be done there, can you try it and let me know?

It looks like you're running Insiders, which sometimes has issues because its cutting edge. Can you reproduce on a non-insiders version of vscode?
Are you using the web version of vscode? This is a know issue with that.
That would be great! Right now this isn't planned, but if someone added it in a PR, I would review it.
