To edit the field in Fritzing, the part needs to be a Capacitor item. Check capacitor.cpp and partfactory.cpp which makes this possible.
You must add the property in the properties.xml file
I would like also this. In my case, I have my own citation key, but I am now collaborating with other persons in a survey paper with a shared library...

@KjellMorgenstern , has this been implemented? Is there any policy for this? If so, we should update the developer wiki. I thought about this when working on the simulator.
Remove imported label. Add pcbview. And I would remove the priority high. It seems like a low priority enhancement
