Unable to close data statistics window

Problem description

When I right-click in the plot window and press "Show data statistics", the expected window pops up. I am, however, not able to close this window using either the "Close" button or the "X" button in the upper right corner.

Steps to reproduce

• Platform / Operative System: Ubuntu 18.04 in WSL using WSLg on Windows 11.
• I was able to reproduce the issue using the dummy data (e.g., the cosine curve) created by the command line argument "-t".

I was unable to replicate this on Linux or MacOS using the latest main.
