I agree that the path is redundant and frankly, so is the filename. I see "CONFIG_COMMON" in **three** places in your screenshot! Adding a "copy path" to the tab context...
Yea, if there's no room, it will get truncated. Not much we can do about that so long as we are showing the path.
@grege2 I totally agree that NEdit's minimal wasted space in the UI is a big part of its appeal.
