You can't navigate in the "Next" direction with empty required fields on the screen. I'm not sure if the FlowButtonBar offers a navigate to a url option for its buttons....
Thank you for your feedback and suggestion. Unfortunately this is a built-in Salesforce behavior that I'm unable to override.
Currently only the single column view is responsive to the container size.
What version of Datatable are you running? What happens if you remove the datatable, save the flow, reopen the flow and then add the datatable back in?

That would be the option to Show or Hide the Save/Cancel buttons.
The Hide Cancel/Save buttons will be greyed out if no columns are selected for editing.
