in the 173 release notes: New `--exit-recovery` flag. This makes it so you can easily get out of recovery mode without relying on a separate tool like ReiBoot. - Windows...

what platform? did you try a different usb port?

I'm looking into it. I have a test device now that I can use to track down the cause.

I think this is simply an indication that iOS 11.3 SEP/baseband aren't compatible with iOS 11.0-11.2. It appears that 11.2.6 SEP/baseband is the last chance to restore to those firmwares.

It is odd, but restoring iOS 11.3b3 with its own SEP/baseband does work properly. It's just the combination with an older firmware that causes issues.

Will be posting in #17 for progress on this issue.

looks like wrong ipsw

It's any kernel built with `CONFIG_DEBUG_NMI_SELFTEST=y`. Nothing to do with Alpine Linux in particular, other than they added that kernel config sometime within the last few years.

Which device / firmware were you using? I'd like to see if I can reproduce.

If the file `/tmp/futurerestore/baseband.bbfw` still exists, it'd be useful to upload that as well, so I can get a better picture of what happened.
