I have this on my work station but on my laptop it works just fine!

I can also confirm that is working for me (Gnome Shell 3.18.5 on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 ). Maybe it is a conflict with something else? Have you installed another software...

I am running it on Ubuntu Gnome 16.04 (running using `npm run package`; didn't figure out how to install) and things are working including app search.

I had the same problem reported however I get a message in the terminal on installation that says `p7zip-full` is not installed. Once I installed it the error no longer...
