hm... ok..I'll take a look at it. The plugin really doesn't install anything other than copy itself to the directory, as a workaround you can just copy all the files...
The nrfutil logs on a Mac are in ~/.nrfutil/logs. Also disconnecting the battery then flash it over usb-c will restore the device. (reattach battery after flashing, but it probably voids...
