Had the same issue with JRE 9.0.4. Fixed it by using JRE 8.0 instead. ``` export JAVA_HOME=$(/usr/libexec/java_home -v 1.8) java -server -Xmx4g -jar blazegraph.jar ```

Thanks a lot, works like a charm. Some helpers would be useful for sure, but globalExists helps a lot already

Passing a table from C++ to Lua

Both ways are interesting, the latter one would work with my case. You could also have a LuaTable wrapper where you can put() basic variables or shared_ptrs
