I think the more example there is the better :) Dag are often use in settings with high performances requirements, I suggest doing whatever is best for performances !

I don't know how other shell do it but I may have time to fiddle around. Do you know where I should look for the trimming in the codebase?
Here maybe https://github.com/nushell/nushell/blob/main/crates/nu-parser/src/lex.rs#L308? Did a few experiments but no luck so far
