It seems that Movim can handle properly calls coming from and to JIDs with backslashs in them. The issue has been fixed. 

It is unintentional. Would it be possible to know what XMPP server are you using?

More than ejabberd, would it be possible to reproduce the issue on your XMPP instance. Did you also follow the related ejabberd documentation https://github.com/movim/movim/wiki/Configure%20ejabberd ?

Movim doesn't notify (anymore?) messages coming from another resource from the same JID in a MUC.

Yes the search too doesn't allow you to actually search for contacts that are not having a "username" part. I'm not sure if it's an actual issue to me.

Can you still reproduce the issue ? Is there a MUC that I can join to reproduce the issue ?
