Hmm I seem to have the sidebar show up when exiting fullscreen if show sidebar is untoggled everywhere. Doesn't show when entering though.

Personally I have it when I toggle full screen on and then off (F11). Either with F11 or the  button (sorry bad picture). This is despite having the sidebar...

I came to request this as well. 🙂 I use Fedora Silverblue and would rather not layer anything (or if it doesn't need layered, have to manually update things).
