@fromsawa kicad environment variables are not available in FreeCAD through python... There is a FC preference page in which you can preset up to 4 different 3D model searching paths...
@BillyPocketNC ATM there is no way to obtain a SMD pad on bottom layer... you need to later edit the pads in kicad fp editor
@sslupsky @BillyPocketNC it should now be available: simply add `_B_Cu_` or `_In2_Cu_` to the Sketch label to set the layer to SMD, Poly or NetTie pads I have added also...

hi @Mimosa-oceanis your model has a lot of component inside the shield... in particular you have a nested of Part containers inside the main Part container... this is not supported...
