When restoring to a new set of tabs - disable all current breakpoints, and re-enable just those within the tab group being restored. Or something along those lines.

Saving tabs that contains a SQL document fails in VS 2013

In VS 2013 IVsUIShellDocumentWindowMgr.SaveDocumentWindowPositions fails with E_POINTER when there is an open SQL document. It works fine in VS 2015 RC.
