I have the same issue. (Using anaconda venviroments)
I did set the interpreter, however it doesnt activate my base environment untill after the first run of the code, which i find weird.
This might help someone, what I did was copy the token url from the jupyter notebook output tab (down right) and insert it in the "enter url of local/remote notebook"...
