Yes in fact we added a database maintenance section to the database settings in 2.7.0. It only purges unused icons right now.
Are you running version 2.7.6? Are you looking in the database settings?
That is the application settings. Go to Database menu on the top toolbar of macos and choose Database settings. Or use the keyboard shortcut `Cmd+Shift+,`
I am not familiar with Qubes operation in the context you mentioned, but if there is a way to "remember the approval" then that would help as well.

Sure making the timeout configurable (fairly easy to do) would be a great option in this circumstance.
Interesting idea. I actually wasn't aware that the files don't get cleaned up until keepassxc exits, but it makes sense. It is hard/impossible to determine when the external app is...
I definitely prefer to copy the recovery codes into the notes of the entry. However, the point is made and we can do something about this.
