Syncing with an arbitrary database is not KeeShare. KeeShare is intended for persistent sync of a collection of entries that are shared between two KDBX files.
I understand what you are looking for. It's really a bi-directional merge. Currently you can achieve that using KeeShare, but it's not a File -> Sync with other DB... Type...
No. There is another issue already to track remote database access support.
You are hitting the known bugs of keeshare, unfortunately. The ui freezing is probably because you have your encryption settings set to high causing large delay in saving.
Why would you not look at the entry you have to find the API key you were looking for? The Advanced tab is already _disabled_ if there are no attributes...
Attribute Count would be a better name for it, but even still the advanced attributes are used for a lot of things like TOTP storage, PassKey, and various other reasons....
Might I recommend you add an "API" tag to entries that contain an API token for easy finding? I tend to not leave issues/requests open that I know I will...

I'm not in favor of making that a first party feature. Remembering quick unlock is a good compromise
We would implement this as an image import. Screenshots is also an option but more code.
