I never got a chance to test this.
But its almost a year old. How hard can it be to calculate an area of a surface that has curves?
Another year has passed and no fix.
This bug is now 3 years old.

ESRI hasn't open sourced any code. They just let you use the dlls for free. They call that "open".
Yeah thats included in the "ESRI is not gonna give you any code" pledge. ;-)
