I haven't seen any activity from kgeogeo in years. Try using version [1.2.4 for Blender 2.79](https://github.com/doakey3/VSE_Transform_Tools/releases/tag/1.2.4) of the updated [VSE_Transform_Tools addon](https://github.com/doakey3/VSE_Transform_Tools).
I don't know about VSE Quick Functions, but there is an active addon called [Blender Power Sequencer](https://github.com/GDquest/Blender-power-sequencer) you can try.
