@haraldschilly - What is the status of this? I see that e.g. the 1st paper in `mathscinet.bib` does not seem to show up on the website. Is `mathscinet.bib` not used...

Thanks for the suggestion about `new_sum`, but what is `sage.engine`? Is it something TeXShop-specific? I know basically nothing about it, more context will be helpful.

The workaround with `sagesilent` provided at the tex.SE link would perfectly without cocalc.

If you feel like changing sagetex along these lines, please give it a try.
