I think just ignoring `honor_size_hints` for tiled windows is not a good idea. There should be an option to toggle this behaviour.

What about `xsetroot -cursor_name left_ptr &` in `bspwmrc`? In my case the cursor was invisible before launching apps, but the mouse seemed to otherwise work. I used the above command...
