The event was created by an admin/organizer without creating a CfP for the conference.
I have just added a check for the existence of the CfP. You can also simply create a CfP for events from the admin panel --> Call for Papers `/admin/conferences/tconf/program/cfps/new?cfp[cfp_type]=events`
