docs say "you must cite" but software is BSD licensed
The docs say "If you use the khmer software, you must cite:"
But the license listed later is BSD. You should either change the license (which might be hard given the number of authors) or the phrasing.

The license is the legal requirement, the documentation is the social expectation. I see no conflict here.

I guess I read "must" as a legal statement as it is part of the documentation of the software. I think there is a conflict because it's unclear from the phrasing that it's not a legal requirement.
Clearly I'm not a lawyer, I was just very confused by two contradictory statements on what I have to do, feel free to close.
