I cloned it from here https://github.com/ros-planning/navigation2_tutorials/commit/a1028c57c9168509186769d1a1cff58fb7957339. https://github.com/ros-planning/navigation2_tutorials and https://github.com/ros-planning/navigation2_tutorials/commit/a1028c57c9168509186769d1a1cff58fb7957339 are basically the same the only difference was that the master branch used weak pointers...
