@mmcauliffe Can confirm that this is solved when moving to 2.2.17, so most likely a bug in 3.0.X. Thank you for the quick response.

Installed through homebrew and yes, my user does have admin priviledges. Adding AeroSpace.app to login items manually does lead to the expected behaviour anyways, so it's a minor issue.
