So, turns out the "can't deinitialize" is a false flag, it seems to be printed all the time but usually server still exits fine. These other threads are the culprits...
Actually I'll use https://github.com/ddnet/ddnet/issues/5198 for the new issue and keep this one for the old one, excuse all the spam here :D
It is written in each log file at the end, but the servers still quit fine. I don't expect problems with deinitializing.
But why do we get this message every time the client shuts down with `sv_shutdown_when_empty 1`? Doesn't it indicate that something is wrong?
This is happening on GER10 now and it seems like we are losing ranks sincce they don't get written.
Is the server visible in server browser in Internet tab? Can you post the full error message please? Did you forward UDP port 8303 on your router? Do you have...
Firewall SPI is the wrong area. You have to do this on your router, can you forward other ports fine? You can google for guides for how to forward ports...
Try `sv_ipv4only 1` and `sv_register ipv4` in your autoexec_server.cfg
Yes, I also don't like this in particular.
Nowadays there is no good reason to use .gz for a new format, better add support for something more modern like .zstd or .xz
