This is a good question. AFAIK it is, I believe it was used across a thread pool in https://github.com/opensearch-project/OpenSearch-benchmark, but I am not 100% sure. How about we clarify this?...
Is `shorturl` an OpenSearch Dashboards feature or is it something returned from the API? I am not familiar with it.
@S0NNER10N I am not familiar with how that's implemented, want to dig that up and then we can figure out whether it belongs in the client?

Do you just need to `_refresh` the index after ingesting data? https://opensearch.org/docs/latest/api-reference/index-apis/refresh/ I'll move this to k-nn in the meantime.
