I mean lots of little commits ending up in the changelog, so that the changelog becomes noisy. It's possible to edit and omit these when creating the changelog manually.

Coincidentally, this seems to prevent the automatic update of term references in entries using that taxonomy.

Funny. Mine doesn't. Maybe it's a setting somewhere? Couldn't find anything related though. 

Behavior seems consistent across Chrome/Safari/Firefox, so must be a flag somewhere, whether editable by the user or not. Strange 🙃
