Most feasible workaround for this right now is simply to turn off individual packaging.

I'm having this issue as well. `slim: true` does not seem to do anything.

I'd like to see this support `yarn` as well. This would be really useful for working with [serverless](https://serverless.com/). `recursive-test` is a good idea as well but maybe we should change...

@pbadenski As of this writing (Dec. 19, 2021), AWS Lambda does not support Node 16 yet so there is no point adding it to this project until it gets supported...
