Audio garbled or missing, Asterisk 13
Using binary build from debian/jessie, I get garbled audio. Compiling by hand, I get no audio. In neither case are there any errors (or any other information for that matter) shown with verbose and debug settings turned up.
CLI swift works fine to generate normal-sounding audio files.
@Ulexus I am currently facing this same issue, I would like to know if you were able to solve this. Your feedback will be appreciated. Should you require my direct contact pauldiconline at gmail dot com https://github.com/eric/app_swift/issues/2
@Pauldic I did not, no. It turned out that the fileserver license of Cepstral was a better for me, anyway. I am now pre-generating the prompts from my Golang code instead of using app_swift.
I'm not sure this module has a 'primary' developer, but I do make some changes here-and-there. Ive recently found a bug that made it completely stop working on Asterisk 11.20+ and might help audio on previous versions. I dont have it packaged up yet, but probably within the next few hours/days.
+1 to what @jkister said . . What I can say is that I'm actually working on a new version now, because of our use of Asterisk 13, so I'd expect something in the next month or so.
just added some code to https://github.com/jkister/app_swift - can someone try ? ive tested on asterisk 11.19, 11.21.2, and 1.8
Thanks @Ulexus & @jkister for your update and @darrensessions your comment sounds like a big relive. Its sign that we have hope. I cannot wait to see new commits that will add support for Asterisk 13 soonest. Thanks for the great work
@darrensessions we are still waiting on you, desperately. You seems to be the one hope for using app_swift with Asterisk 13
Sorry for the delay. I haven't had time to work on this recently, but will spend time this weekend.
I beleive my last push request should help things, but folks should try it from my fork first.. not sure anyone here has. BTW app_swift has had asterisk 13 support for a while now - albeit with a larger possibility of crash than the new code.
Thanks @darrensessions for your feedback, just do the best you can. @jkister can you confirm your link. I can test it out this weekend
@darrensessions I am certain you have a very tight schedule. Please were you able to do anything? Is there any hope for new commit anytime soon?
I guess this is the end.
@darrensessions Is there any update on this. I have tried to contact you via e-mail as a client of mine may be willing to pay to fix Asterisk 13 on Ubuntu 16.04 LTS. We are generally getting no audio on any channel (trunk or Polycom phone). Swift looks on the Asterisk CLI logs. Swift create audio file works.
