I have experienced this also. Typing into table data fields causes a lot of lag. It can take minutes after I'm done typing a sentence for the data to appear...
Use the classic sync client. The icon I'm referring to appears under favorites in the sidebar. The icon style has changed drastically for some reason after the macOS upgrade.
