Any additional crashes? Let me know if you have been able to see any connection to a specific use case.

This is likely related to #114 and the same solution should apply. A communication error with the display could cause this behavior since fallback was to return to standard mode...

Sounds like a much better implementation! The existing one is not very useful, I'm not even using it myself... I think it would be best to regulate the power on...

The suggestions here are a nice improvement but I will not spend the time to implement this, if anyone want to give it a go, feel free to do so.

@Dweebur2 Did you remember to set frequency to 20MHz when you flashed my firmware again? 18.432MHz is used for bafang firmware, this needs 20

Did this behaviour happening when you were hitting you configured speed limit or was it any speed?
