I see the guys maintaining [marshmallow](https://github.com/marshmallow-code/marshmallow/) have a [releasing guide](https://github.com/marshmallow-code/marshmallow/blob/dev/RELEASING.md) that seems pretty simple to follow. Maybe we can learn a few things from them 😄
