FireWire huh? I have an old FireWire drive somewhere so I should be able to replicate your setup. I'll try and find some time this week. A few more questions...

Does this crash happen consistently or did it just happen the once? Also, you've mentioned scrolling the queue a few times. Is your queue especially large?

It's very large compared to the average playlist I'm testing with. I'm very much an album listener so my queue typically has anywhere from 8 to 20 songs in it....
