Downloaded the latest release of Persephone today, but opening it produces this error:

I'm running macOS Ventura 13.3.1 (22E261) on a M1 MacBook Pro.

You just need to open it in finder, it's not this application specific error.

This project looks abandoned though.

Trying to open it in Finder gives the error I provided a screenshot of, which is absolutely due to a problem or problems with Persephone.

This project looks abandoned though.

You never know!

In the Finder window don't just double-click to open the file, but right-click > Open.

Sadly Persephone has languished lately due to lack of time. I do intend to go back to it at some point.

Holy crap, what are they smoking in Cupertino these days?

Another option is to go to the security section in the system settings shortly after getting that pop-up and clicking the button to permit it to run.
