I think only WeakPRF is needed. Also, the derivation of ψ using PRFexpand is part of note encryption/decryption, and not strictly speaking required by the rest of the protocol.
`halo2` wouldn't necessarily have to import `poseidon::Transcript` if it were a type parameter provided by the prover and verifier.

Note that it isn't currently possible to derive child viewing keys from a parent viewing key. You either need to have spend authority for the root, or someone who does...
The "example project" is just that: an example, not a functioning wallet. This should be made clearer in the documentation.
I think this is `enhancement` rather than `bug`, since it's an issue of latency-to-spend rather than correctness.
