After sleeping on it I've answered my own question. Maybe another newbie with the same problem will find this useful. The widget identifier can be changed if you switch targets...

Additionally you need to use identifiers like me.XYZ.GammaTest and me.XYZ.GammaTest.GammaWidget where XYZ is your unique string.
