If we are able to re-use some of the work done by the C++ team to support `launch.vs.json`, I think that is a good approach (at least to begin with)....
The same process should be done to add 3.10 and 3.11 as options to the VS installer.
Thanks for the report - it seems that there is a suitable workaround added back into the UI. I am going to close this in favor of that workaround posted...
