Why was this issue moved? This is not specific to helm. I only used helm in the issue to make it easily reproducible.

Aah, I obviously don't know how to search. This PR is very similar, where it differs is that it shares one session with `pyathena` and that the bug is fixed...

This is a duplicate of #56 and #121. Setting `boto3.setup_default_session` there also won't fix the issue in all cases.

I'd much prefer if a proper line editor like [rustyline](https://github.com/kkawakam/rustyline) was used.

@changhc I'd love to get your feedback w.r.t the interface.
