I don't understand what `incr_base` does. I'm thinking either a single boolean option `zero_based_indexing`, or two such options `zero_based_indexing_plot_legend` and `zero_based_indexing_input_palette`.

Tensorstore [just announced](https://github.com/google/tensorstore/issues/254#issuecomment-3518852829) that they released Tensorstore 0.1.79 which has wheels for Python 3.14: https://pypi.org/project/tensorstore/#files
